Choosing hobbies is a hard decision for me to make as I always change my hobbies very often. Many of my friends often ask me about my hobbies and I always reply to my friend that I do not really know. Last year I finally got my hobby and that my me feel a bit proud as I do not had an hobbies for a couple of year. The hobby that I have got is reading! On that day I went to school library and I found a very interesting Chinese book. It illustrate about campus love story. From that day onwards I started to go library to find more story book.

Chinese New Year is a day we Chinese people celebrate for a new year. On that day we will need to wake up early to go out to visit our relatives and say some prosperous words to them. People nowadays still believe that words that we said on Chinese New Year will come true. Therefore, that words that are not prosperous are not recommended to say on that day. Parents are not allow to scold their children even if they did something wrong. Most importantly is that we are not allow to sweep the floor on the first three day as it significance sweep off the whole year fortune. Children like me prefer the time of getting red packet rather than visiting long-distance relatives. Every home will also place delicious food on the coffee table to welcome the visitors. In summary, Chinese New Year is my favorite festival.

On total defence eve, our school was proud to announce that we are able to celebrate our total defence cum sport day at Nan yang polytechnic. Chong boon student were happy to hear the announcement especially the secondary one. As it is their first time to celebrate total defence cum sport day at Nan yang polytechnic with us. We reach there in the afternoon and were greeted by our uniform groups by introducing the five different defences. After that we celebrated our sport day by challenging with each other as will as the Pathlight students. It was really a different way to celebrate total defence day compare to the last few years.

Last Tuesday I watch a short movie on The Butterfly Lovers. I like the movie very much as this story had been told by my Chinese teacher, Miss Wong. This story had been past down a thousand years ago. The butterfly lovers tell a story of two people named Leon and Jo. Leon comes from a poor family but Jo come from a wealthy family. In the further part, both Leon and Jo fall in love in each other. But unfortunately, the couple could not with each other as Jo’s parents think that only people of the same social statue can be together. Leon die due to a terminal disease and Jo died as she kill herself by jumping in the coffin. Till now, many people believe that they saw two butterfly flies out of the coffin is Leon and Jo.

Growth day is a day that we Chong Boon students use to mark our achievement and new aims toward a new day of a year and work towards it. As usual, our class was send back to our classroom. the only things that were different is that we went back to our classroom not for studies but to do our reflection .mark our aim and lastly is to do mind map on how to get the grades we had aim for.
